Celta Vigo have recruited their first reinforcement for next season by agreeing to sign midfielder Antonio Guayre on a three-year deal from Villarreal.

Celta said the 26-year-old Spain international, who will move on a free transfer after completing his contract at Villarreal, would be presented to the media on Tuesday.

Besiktas fullback Juanfran has revealed he's in negotiations with Real Zaragoza.

The former Spain international spent last season on-loan at Ajax and is desperate to return to Spain. Juanfran favours a move to Zaragoza, where his former Celta Vigo coach Victor Fernandez is now in charge.

"What player wouldn't want to play for Zaragoza? Especially with Victor Fernandez now there and an exciting new project to look forward to," declared Juanfran.

"I know that Arturo Canales, my agent, is speaking with Zaragoza. I imagine that when there is something firmer he'll tell me. I wait for news."

Villarreal's Antonio Guayre is expected to be the first close-season signing for Celta Vigo.

New Celta Vigo president Carlos Mourino says Borja Oubina can leave if the right offer arrives for the young ster.  Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United have all been linked with the midfielder and Mourino said: "I am not going to retain any player who wants to go.

"There's been a lot of talk about Oubina. The player has all the confidence of Celta, is a great player, has all our respect and is a phenomenal youngster.

"We will never cut the career of a player and more so if he is from the juniors.

"It is not a money question, but to reach an agreement. He will have a position at Celta if he does not want to go to another team, but if there is interest, then it is the most logical thing that Oubina can leave Celta." 

McCarthy has been linked with a move to England since his days with Spanish side Celta Vigo, and came close to joining the Toffees last summer.
